Local Instagram Final Version

That was a successful presentation! Thank you everyone for participate in this presentation to make all of it happens!

This project simulates one of the essential elements in our life: social networks. Social networks connect people with each other. This Instagram simulator allows one participant to apply filters to his/her face while other participants rate the Instagram post with like and share buttons. The software will also generate random likes intelligently based on the filters that the participant selects.

What’s supposed to happen: The main participant uses a handheld input device to select filters while other participants can react to the post by pressing two physical buttons.

However, my partner had some issues during the final and not being able to attend the presentation class. Thus, I am using the alternative plan: using on-screen interactive buttons that just look and feel like an Instagram app, and give out a real Instagram experience.

When I first saw your project I thought that it was a legit instagram video recorder that I completely forgot. I really like how you were able to include everyone into your project.

I find it surprising the amount of detail that you had put into the project. One opinion that I have is that I noticed the “like” counter went in different increment numbers. I feel that having it gain likes overtime would make it feel more natural and having our like count as one, would be more representable of how the app originally acted (No video was published when I made this comment, so I could be wrong about this/it could be already implemented).

I loved the interactivity of your project; it was a really fun way to get the whole class involved in something that I could see being placed somewhere out in public as a whole art piece.

Have to say the Instagram interface looks ultra fine. And I personally think it would be very cool if the like button could light up when you click it.

This interface is so convincing! I was very impressed with how great the live video meshed with the UI. Loved that picture we got of the entire class at the end.
