For the project I want to dive deep into a topic that I have seen was not widely accepted to me personally and it is growth mindset. Growth mindset is often compared to what is known as a fixated mindset, fixated mindset means that you believe that when you are not good at a task you give up believing you do not have the natural “skills”. Growth mindset is different in this regard being described as a way of thinking that failure means growth and that through time you can acquire the necessary skills. I remember when I used to have a fixated mindset of the world, but when I learned and transferred over to a growth mindset, I was more willing to take risks and was happy to hear crucial feedback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have decided for this project to make a paper mache head with an opening top for my ground. I have drawn eyes and a mouth, but in order to have the users focus on the brain I was thinking about removing the mouth and eyes and putting a creative spin on the head. This, besides a couple of wires that are coming out and the felt objects, are the only thing the person should see first. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opening of the head is where the items will be placed that will trigger the animated cutscenes on the MAX device. I am wondering to either make a brain to show the mind, or if a whole in the head shows the mind just enough to add some growth effects to it. By the way if you have any suggestions about anything, just let me know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These are some items that I want to be conductive that are going to be connected to some MakeyMakey pins, these are some ideas that I wanted to use to convey a growth mindset and the importance of one, this will lead to a hand drawn 2D animation of each of these acting out in a way someone with a growth mindset would tackle the situation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These are a couple of the ideas with each object and I am planning on making some quick animations with a face that closely resembles the head of the character I am going to make out of paper Mache. This is just a very rough start, but I believe currently it is a great foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Questions: The more you answer the better, but choose as many as you want.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Would a faceless character with a cool design on it be better than the prototype image?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Would you prefer a paper mache brain holder or nothing there for felt objects?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you understand what a growth mindset is after reading all of this?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Any suggestions about the piece at all are welcomed to be commented on and would be highly appreciated<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
