So I’ve decided to change my original idea and form pretty significantly. For my input instrument, I instead modeled it as a sort of Harp/ Lyre form. The instrument has 12 conductive strings each mapping to one of twelve possible keyboard inputs in the Makey Makey. Each of the twelve inputs will map to a note, so the instrument will have a relatively simple amount of range. Each string will be taped on with conductive tape down the bottom end of the lyre. Currently there’s just some temporary decorations of white and black paper covering the cardboard backing of the system. I’m waiting on more materials to give a cool custom pattern overlaying the cardboard backing and I’ll switch out the décor once those arrive.
