Scary Reverb Documentation

For the final project I decided to integrate the song Come Wayward Souls from Cartoon Network’s Over the Garden Wall. The show relies on many themes relevant to the fall and Halloween. As a way to involve the theme of connection, a user, or multiple users can trigger multiple copies of the song to create the effect of additional lead singers and chorus members. However, the pitch of the song changes when it is in a dark, or bright environment. Upon considering the possibilities for this project, I recalled the three witches from Shakespeare’s Macbeth. One of the aspects about them which I found to be creepy was that they were not alone. A person can be scary on their own, but a group, even if it consists of two or three members, can be more terrifying.

Thank you for the opportunity to be in this class. I was amazed by everyone’s creativity and know that you all will go on to do great things.

Happy Halloween and beware the Beast!

Is that just me or these songs are really that brainwashing? I was humming that song the entire yesterday when I was working on my own project documentations. Nice music choice.

Thank you. It’s one of the reasons I chose it. Also it was used in a very pivotal scene in the show.

I love the metallic sheen of the leaves. They look very inviting to touch.

Thank you. I’m fairly proficient at crafting with tape.

I second Dylan on the leaves – the metal like look is a great use of the conductive tape. The music choice was solid as well, nice work!

I always show people Over The Garden Wall when they want to know what New England is like. This really goes well with the spooky vibe, I forgot that there are other great songs that came from the show besides Potato and Molasses.
