For whatever reason, when I started playing with the Makey Makey buttons and sounds, I really wanted to recreate the “Bonetrousle” song from Toby Fox’s Undertale. Something about being able to quickly hop from one note to the other reminded me of the bouncy nature of the song, and I thought it would be fun.
I connected an alligator clip to my ring to keep everything grounded and I hooked up the arrow keys to be the individual notes of the signature bassline of the song. I used forks for those because they had a more reliable connection than the graphite, but the graphite worked fine for everything else. Since I only had a few more inputs left I recreated the lead part of the song separately and just divvied it up as well as I could amongst the last six. The melody plays in order well and the bassline is playable by itself (although its volume is a little soft in the video), however I unfortunately couldn’t combine the two parts together for two reasons: 1) The way I divvied up the melody isn’t really split up the way music would normally be, because 2) I am not a musician and I cannot quite get my brain to be able to keep track of both music parts at the same time anyway. They both individually work though! Nyeh heh heh!
