At the end of last class I did want to add more effects, but through feedback and the confusion that people had with the physical reactions. I decided to improve the signifiers and hide the wires into a larger better box. I really liked how this turned out and I am ready to bring this to others and show off something that I am proud of.
I had difficulty programming at first and some people were late in sending me all of the videos that I needed of their pets. But everything turned out in the end and I think I have found a new passion. I really like doing artistic coding with css and having the ability to tie it to the real world now is just mind opening.
I wanted to show off everything we learned from Arduino, Makey Makey, and Camera inputs to make connections with both. I wanted each player to have an equal amount of power while playing and I think with the updates I made after class that I have accomplished that. Also as a random tangent, for one day I was figuring out how to seamlessly make nine video playlists interact with one another and it took me until the end of that day to figure out I only needed one playlist.
Below I show off the project with demos and VOs of what is happening. This was the first time I ever used Adobe Premiere or any advanced video editor so any helpful hints on how to improve the video with Adobe Premiere tips would be greatly appreciated.
I put the objects in conductive aluminum outfits and put paper labels on the arduino sensors, I also made the pet toy less chaotic and more fluid but adjusting the scale. I changed the song to an artist who I really like who is from the same country my ancestors came to America from, Belgium. The artist name is Stromae and I will leave links down below.
It was very cool to see everyone have a different style of completing the projects and it was inspiring seeing everything become more and more interactive.
This project was great, nice effects and interactions.
The visuals on the camera were especially eye catching with different pets.
