Interactive Touch Input Sketch

As of now, the physical component of my project is complete! I now have to connect the Makey Makey to my laptop and start animating.

My project is based around a dandelion, so I decided to create a model of a dandelion out of felt! The base of my object is made out of wood dowels which I surrounded with green pipe cleaners. This is also how I hid my wires(covered by the pipe cleaner).

The “flower” itself is also crafted out of felt and is home to two inputs users will press hidden amongst the flower petals.

The leaves sprouting are created from felt as well but behind the leaves, more wires are hidden which is where users will press to activate the output.

As the base of the project, there is a block of styrofoam covered with brown felt to look like dirt which is also painted with brown paint. The felt sprinkled around the flower also covers the wires sprouting from below.

Materials Used:

Green, yellow felt

Green pipe cleaners

Styrofoam

Brown Paint

Wooden dowels

Screws(connected to wires, which is what users will touch for output)
