While playing around with the Makey Makey, I mostly wanted to focus on creating a “single touch” interface. Even without knowing what I want to do for my final project, I didn’t want the viewer/audience to have to wear anything additional to have to interact with the piece. So I used this sketch as a way to see the limits of how I might be able to make something that can be immediately interacted with.
I created this circuit so that when you touch it, the tip of your finger acts as the bridge. My hands were also very dry while making this, so I found the best way to counteract this was to smudge graphite on the tip of my finger to make it more consistent. Below is a video of the circuit in action. I hooked it up to two pianos because I was attempting to make chords. I’m still working on it.
