Meme Remix Sketch

Introducing the Meme Remixer, designed from clips from the hit series Invincible, it’s the Think, Mark meme. My intention with this peculiar product is to turn a vicious smackdown into a remixed beat, a feat that as of right now is only half accomplished. I have ambitions with this particular project, and my intention is to focus less on the visual flair and more on the audio action. In short, this would create a fun song composed of this scene, other scenes of the same show, and perhaps some sampling divorced from the show altogether.

I was inspired to this project after listening to the clip a few times, where I noticed certain lines had a definite cadence to them, which gave me a gleefully mischievous idea. In short, this project is very fitting of the meme setting, in that it’s volatile, silly, a bit stupid, but in the end might just be delightful to watch. Below are some of the clips used in the making of this demonstration.

I think the meme composition has a lot of potential. Were you thinking of making it potentially interactive? In my opinion, I think making it somewhat interactive would add to the value of the meme.

  2. Dylan says:

There’s an unsuspecting rhythm to the character’s lines! Cool stuff.

  3. Jasmine says:

I like the choice of clips — it’ll be interesting to see what you come up with!

  4. Kaamil says:

I’d echo Dylan on this one – there is an unexpected rhythm to the whole piece, nice work.

The remix is really cool and that is a really cool find. I do agree with John that adding interactive key presses would make this more user friendly but that is just a nitpick. I also get Cave Johnson burn the house down with lemons when listening to this, probably because they were the same voice actor.

This may have potential. I like the amount of resources gathered and I am curious to see what the finished product will be. Why would you choose Invincible’s Omniman?
