Interactive Touch Output + Input: A Comforting Home

The idle scene is a photo of the house with music playing in the background. The three animations:
When the table is touched, a plate of cookies is quickly consumed. When the fireplace is touched, logs and flames appear inside it. When the piano is touched, a few chords are played.

Question: I wanted to incorporate a tiny monitor as a TV and have the animations play on that if it functions. Do you think this would contribute to the feel of my project or is it unnecessary? Do you think I’d have to change animations if I incorporate it?

Wow, your piece is so detailed and thought out! What type of music do you plan to incorporate during the idle scene? An opinion I have is during the animation you plan to show, maybe zoom into the aspects so viewers have a more clear and focused view on the animation 🙂

This set is downright impressive, as others have said! I notice a lot of floral patterns, what is the significance of that?

I wanted to put a bit of myself into it and I absolutely love floral wallpaper designs, I think they add to the comforting feel

The scene has a super cozy vibe! There is so much detail in every part of the room, and the animations make the room look lived in. 🙂

I noticed there are a lot of charming details in the room such as the little mirror on the wall. What kind of mood you want the audience to feel when interacting with this piece? Although there is no artist question posted yet, I could image the whole piece become much more livelier if there are some music or sound effects added to the stop motion video.

The attention to detail in this piece is gorgeous and it gives me the vibes of an old Victorian house or something of an older era. Is there any significance behind the paintings? I noticed that they all seem like they’re the same rustic style.

I like to make art journals with vintage stickers / cutouts so I had a lot on hand to use :-). I also used a really cool sticker book called “The Antiquarian Sticker Book” with a lot of Victorian themed stickers. It’s very affordable and on Amazon if you’re interested in that kind of thing!

I do not think you would have to change animations for the project as long as you keep with the consistent aesthetic. I really like aesthetics and it really reminds me of going to my grandmothers house. What lead to your decision for the theme of the room?
