Audio Input Sketch – Wingardium LeviOsa (Hanwen Xu)

So the whole idea behind this audio input sketch is an interactive Wingardium Leviosa spell casting. You would need to touch your wand to being, and say Wingardium Leviosa in the right way (say ‘LeviOsa’ as loud as you can) to successfully cast the spell. If you did not cast the spell correctly, Hermione will show up and correct you.

I also planned to do some sort of movement detection of the wand at the beginning but I failed to get my webcam to work 🙁

This is such a creative and drawing concept! Would any moving object be recognized by the movement detection system instead of a wand?

This is a very fun interaction, I bet this is very immersive for users.

I really like this, reminds me of a Harry Potter interactive exhibit that happened at the Boston Science Museum.

This seems like a fun idea. I love that the program can pick up the differences in pronunciation, and may have possible applications in academic fields. Also, I like that you added subtitles since I can sometimes misunderstand what is spoken to me.
