I was inspired by designs from Below the Boat featuring wooden topographic maps. I traced a portion of the map I wanted in Inkscape but I had to simplify and change some parts until it looked the way I wanted. Originally I wanted to make a clock so I changed the map layers to fit a circle and added another layer on top for the tick marks. I’m still playing around with the design and I have to find out the dimensions of the clock mechanism I’m going to use to make sure it will fit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
