I chose to make a lantern based on a retro TV playing the movie The Karate Kid. <\/em>The front was traced in Inkscape, while the box was made using an online resource. All the pieces were made with kerfs in mind so that there is a tight fit. A LED strip was wrapped along the inside to provide the light and can be controlled by a separate remote. A piece of paper is also placed on the inside to diffuse light and make it impossible to see the electronics. The two knobs on the right were also made to rotate as suggested during one of the classes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
