I have taken my original drawing and separated them so that they are ready to cut. I added the kerfs to everything, and it should be ready to go once I get material. I increased the size of the acrylic so that it would go past the edge of the screen so that I can place it on the inside wall of the TV rather than having it flush with the front. Red is a full cut while black is either an engrave or raster. The acrylic we transparent so that I can be sure light passes through. Then if I want to tone it down, I can add diffusing paper as needed. The wood will just be the makerspace 1\/8″ plywood. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have the TV nearly done! All that is really left is to put in the nobs. There was some light bleeding along the edges since the makerspace wood is VERY warped so that even when the fingers could snap in place they would still bend out and make a gap. However, I was able to minimize it greatly through glue and paper inserts. The only change I might make at this point is to raise the nobs on the upper right section. I just don’t know how distinct that area is. I had initially planned to not stain it, but the wood was just too accepting of the stain, so even when I taped it, the stain blead in from underneath. Due to this I might recut a copy of that section then have it be raised on the final product. I am very happy with this comes out regardless and would love to hear any last-minute ideas you all have.!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How should I connect the acrylic to the wood? Does just any glue work? Can I just tape it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
