I am planning to do a honeycomb top and bottom to varying degrees, maybe using code to generate varying sized ones in a random order. I am still thinking about how to hang up the lantern, how to attach it to something, as well as if anyone has any interesting light suggestions. I originally wanted to use a lens to diffract light, this would provide a nice rainbow gradient as the light went up, but the dome lenses that could be used for this are expensive and would take a while to ship. The primary material will be wood, and maybe acrylic behind the bees.
