For the lantern, I plan to recreate a box TV from the 80s out of wood, then make a screen out of acrylic that will let light through. This should give the impression that the TV is on. I wanted something that had a strong emphasis on light and dark, so I temporarily put this scene from the Karate Kid. However, I am open to ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Edit: I added the jaws concept and wanted to see which people prefer and why?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Questions:
Are there any other scenes from movies that you all can think of? I want something that only needs a few acrylic colors since I don’t want to buy a lot of excess, and a scene that can be made minimalistic as so it is easily visible from anywhere in a room.
Does anyone have any acrylic left over from other projects? I would like to know how well different colors and thicknesses let light through. I want to ensure the orange will have a nice sunset look and the black lets little to no light through.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
