I’ve finalized how I am going to put together my design by sourcing parts, creating a CAD model, and sending parts off to the print queue. I plan on using six Neopixel sticks with 8 LEDs each and an Arduino Nano to light up my piece. There will be 6x 0.25″ acrylic panels that are about 8x10cm. I haven’t yet made the designs that I will engrave into the acrylic but I do not anticipate that to take too long. If anyone has experience with edge lighting acrylic I’d love some feedback on that. Specifically, I would like to know if the spacing of my panels appears too close or too far in terms of if the piece feels too claustrophobic or too spaced out. Right now I have a simple rainbow pictured, some feedback on potential animations or color combinations would be appreciated. Below are the electronics that I will use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
