This is my long overdue first attempt at using the laser cutter. I am happy with the way my pieces turned out!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first drawing I attempted was my Drawing #1. I did a test cut and my settings seemed fine, but on the first attempt of cutting out the frog, most of my lines went all the way through. I adjusted my settings and my second attempt came out better, although it still cut one of the eyes out when I did not mean to. I decided to combine my first and second attempt into a mini layers project, and I am planning on gluing together the pieces and also maybe painting them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, I decided to attempt my Drawing #2, which was my raster drawing of my dog, Hobbs. I played it safer this time and chose a raster setting that was really light, but I overcompensated and made the settings too light so I had to go over the piece 3 times to get a good color contrast. I originally wanted to attempt 2 different shades so that the penguin was a darker shade than Hobbs, but when I went to laser print I decided it would probably be better to just stick with one shade while I am still learning the ropes of the laser cutter. I am really impressed with how accurate the laser cutter is!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
