I went ahead and made some laser cuts for my layers project. I ended up changing direction, and using plywood due to the difficulty of getting enough good cardboard and dealing with the differences between each cardboard source. I may try the cardboard idea again if I have enough time though.

Lastly, here is how they look when put together. This is just a hastily thrown together test assembly to make sure it looks alright and no pieces are missing. If i stick with the plywood version and I am going to color it in someway. Unsure as of right now, but spray paint may be a cool way to do so.

Did I manage to create an interesting contrast between the shell and the other parts of the turtle? How could I further emphasize this contrast?
