Katherine Tse Introduction & Portfolio:

Hello! My name is Katherine Tse and I am from San Francisco, California. I am a sophomore computer science and interactive media and game development double major. I see game development as a way to combine art and technology and I hope one day to work in the gaming industry. On campus, I am involved in Alpha Gamma Delta and the WPI Ballroom Dance Team.

Art is one of my favorite ways to de-stress , take time for myself, and be a little creative. I most often lean towards knitting, origami, and painting. I have also done work in embroidery, crochet, sewing, and still-life drawings using graphite, charcoal, and pastel. In my freshman year, I took a class on digital art and learned how to use some of the Adobe products such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and AfterEffects. My favorite creative art is dance. I started choreographing in high school and was able to work as a choreographer for my former gymnastics gym. I continue to choreograph today for the WPI Ballroom Dance team and for VOX Musical Theater.

I have not had a lot of experience doing art in a maker space and I am very excited to get this opportunity.
