Deanna Polosino Intro & Portfolio

Hello! My name Deanna and my nickname is Dee. I’m a sophomore Aerospace Engineering major and I’m from Long Island, NY. I like frogs, listening to music, going to concerts and playing video games.

Art fits into my current life because art and engineering tend to overlap. In both engineering and art, you have to be creative and think outside the box. In the past, I have combined community service, art, and engineering to create a sustainable project for my gold award.

On my own time, I create digital art using procreate, take photos, and I paint using canvas and recycled material. For classes, I have used adobe illustrator, photoshop, and traditional art with paint and colored pencils. Other creative art I do is woodworking, metal working, and playing music.

At WPI, I have used the makerspace to 3D print. I have also used the fablab in my high school to 3D print, use the CNC router, laser cutter, vinyl cutter, woodshop tools, and metal shop tools.

Thought provoking – Love the art made from the boxes and cans and the use of this media is super cool because it uses stuff that is pretty inexpensive and easily accessible which makes me wonder how we can use more unconventional items like this in art.
