Final Project

on

For this assignment, I aimed to work with readily available materials, opting to layer construction paper to represent a forest within a tree-inspired frame.

Crafted using Solidworks and PLA printing, my lantern project embraces a nature-inspired motif featuring geometric flowers. To elevate its visual allure, I painted both the exterior and interior with contrasting shades of blue, enriching the piece with depth while maintaining its simplicity and symmetry.

My final altered toys project was designed in Solidworks and printed using PLA. I painted it with acrylic paint and used marker to add details. I posed my design in with the legos that I grew up playing with. Growing up, legos were always my favorite toy, but I was told that they were “boy toys” and there was rarely female representation, so I created a lego person with feminine features.

I love the colors you chose to paint your lantern! I think they go well with the flowers, very visually appealing and symmetric.
