For my Layers project I decided to make a Piranha plant from Mario. I laser cut wood and created taller and shorter layers to give the Piranha plant depth. I then painted and glued it all together.
For my Lantern project I made a lantern from Minecraft. I 3d modeled and printed the base and top of the lantern. I then laser cut out frosted acrylic for the glass of the lantern. Finally for lighting I used orange fairy lights.
For my Altered Toys project I made a Lego brickheadz of Russell from the movie UP. I modeled and 3dprint each of the 147 Lego pieces I then painted them and using a bench vise and super glue assembled all of the pieces.
I think the frosted acrylic along with the fairy lights make the lantern look awesome. I also appreciate how you took the time to painstakingly print and paint each piece for Russell.
I really like the colors you used with the Parana plant, it helps it pop. I also appreciate the time you put in with the russel figure, it looks amazing
I am struck by the detail in your brickhead of Russell. Knowing from experience, pieces printed in PLA take a really long time to paint and it looks amazing put all together!
