For drawing 1 I chose to make a simple engraving of my two dogs. I wanted to use a more basic linework style for the engraving so there isn’t too much fine detail and the concept is easy to see. I also wanted to highlight the little cutouts of the eyes, ears, and noses on both dogs to make these aspects really pop when this image is cut and engraved on any material. My dogs are super important to me and being away at college and not being able to see them often is definitely tough, so that’s why I wanted to make a little art piece so I can keep them close even when we’re apart.
