For my altered toys project, I decided to recreate Barbie clothes with a twist. Instead of using the soft and flexible fabric that is normally used for clothes, I used hard and structured PLA filament. I think this provides a nice contrast to the original toy. I also wanted my piece to represent the fashion industry and it’s failure to produce clothes that fits anyone quite right. I believe that the rigid and perfectly geometric structure of my design really showcases this.
I really like how you made the project out of PLA to make it hard unlike how the original clothes are soft. I also like your idea for the sizes and shapes of the clothes.
I like how you took into consideration the supports for the dresses rings, it was a good decision to make them individually as to make it look better and reduce time.
