Lantern Project
For my lantern project, I made a tent with cut outs and engraves for the light to shine through. I chose to do a tent to keep the same camping theme as my layered project. To personalize it more, I chose to make space themed designs on the outside of the tent and on one side, I made my zodiac constellation Sagittarius. For lighting my lantern, I went with fairy lights. I am able to control the lighting with a remote to turn it on/off and filter through the different light settings.

Layers Project
For my layers project, I did a layered landscape in a camper outline on 1/8th in plywood. My family goes camping a lot so that is where I came up with this idea. I wanted to keep the design not overly complicated but still detailed. I decided to stain the wood with an acrylic paint and water mixture instead of a solid painted color so the natural wood details are still present.

Altered Toys Project
For the altered toys project, I redesigned the Game of Life car pieces. One of my favorite boardgames growing up was Game of Life and that inspired ideas for my project. I modeled and 3D printed boats in replacement of the cars. Similarly to the actual boardgame, there are 6 spots for the people pieces. The holes are accurate to the design and are able to fit the people. I ended up finding a model online and 3D printing the people.

I really love your lantern! I think its awesome that you strayed away from the traditional box shape and did something that made your theme even more special
I love both your lantern and your layers project. I like how the finger joints in the lantern lend to the tents overall vibe and I love the engraves of all the space stuff as well as the tent window designs. In the layers project I love how well the acrylic stain you used came out. You were able to get a lot of depth in every part of your layers project and I really love the raccoon and birds you added.
Your tent came out perfectly! The engravings look so good with the plywood and fairy lights, and it’s cool they match the theme of your layers project as well. I am also impressed by you little figures that match your life vehicles..
I really love your layers project. The light paint effect that you got from watering down acrylic is amazing. I love the little animals too. I also think that your lantern project is also so cute. The detail in the engravings really just put it over the top.
I love your RV layers project and how you painted the background. It gives it the appearance that it was drawn with colored pencil and I love it.
The tent is stunning! The designs are very clean and the fairy lights were a great choice. I also love how cute the boats and people are in your altered toys project.
