For my altered toys design, I decided to based mine off of Barbie doll clothes. Barbie doll clothes is usually made out of fabric that you can stretch to fit the doll almost perfectly. My toy design consists of three (maybe more) pieces of clothes that will be made out of plastic. The rigidness of the material does not allow for the clothing item to fit on anyone that isn’t exactly to the size it was designed for. This, was also a take on today’s fast fashion industry where the sizing and construction of clothes often times does not fit anyone quite right. Clothes is often made for an “ideal” body type that rarely anyone is.

How will you place the pieces onto the doll? One idea could be to make two halves of the clothes that you place on either side of the doll that somehow connect/snap together. This might make it easier to get them on and off.
This a great idea! It might be interesting if you made custom tags somehow to put on the pieces that had a ridiculously small size on it. This could be the size an actual Barbie doll would be.
Are you also planning on making a doll to go with it? I like the idea and I think it could be cool if you could keep the colors, either by actually printing it in those colors or painting it.
This is really cool, and I like that it has commentary on real life too. In the dress you might want to consider making the ruffle edges thicker as they currently look to be on the thinner side which may cause them to break when removing supports. Also how are you planning on placing these on the printer?
You might wanna plan a way for this to go on the doll, as 3D prints can be very ridgid, maybe having it so they are made of two pieces that snap together would work.
