Final Projects Reyhan Sabesan

This was a great class to be a part of, and it was very beneficial for me to gain experience with the laser cutter and 3D printer. Thank you all for your feedback!

Altered Toys Project
This project was about representing a toy from our childhood in a different form. I chose a Wii remote and nunchuck as my subject, since I had a lot of fun playing on the Wii as a child. (My favorite games were swordplay and airplane fighting on Wii Sports Resort). This model was 3D printed with white PLA.

Lantern Project
This project involved using light to illuminate something. I chose to recreate a nether portal from Minecraft. The outside frame is black painted plywood, while the inside doorway is clear acrylic. The lights shine through the frame through thin black paper.

Layers Project
I chose to create a map of my hometown of Foster City for this project. It is made up of three layers of plywood, with the bottom layer colored blue. The blue in this map represents water, while the engravings represent roads.

First Cuts
These were the first things I made with the laser cutter. One is a brain, and the other is a fake credit card.

Other Drawings
Some other miscellaneous doodles.
