I notice the amount of detail put into this project, and appreciate your commitment to making a full chess set. The curves in the profiles of each piece are very nice, and it’s awesome you were able to differentiate the pieces with only 2 planes to work in
I’m struck by the way you made all the pieces of the chess board! I think its so cool that you made all of them and that they all stand. Especially having each group be made of different materials!
I am stuck by the way that you took 2D materials in the laser cutter and made them into 3D objects. I also noticed how you used both acrylic and wood to show the different colors of the pieces.
(holy cow, this is insanely cool!)
i love how absolutely simplistic these pieces are once you look at them. theyre just the same 4 pieces glued together in a pattern, and yet, this is enough for the human brain to register a recognsiable 3D form. well done!

I’m struck by the way you converted 2D cuts into such 3d models. The photography of each of these models also have very unique lighting angles.
I appreciate the use of different materials to differentiate the two sets of pieces.

I’m amazed by how well the 3d shapes of the chess pieces are captured using only 2 planes of 2d material.
I appreciate how you went above and beyond the assignment criteria.

I noticed the use of different materials used to represent black and white pieces, because rastering one of the sets would take too long.
I am struck by the precision of the chess pieces. The tolerances are quite impressive to be able to stick together like that.
I appreciate the way you used a combination of different materials to differentiate the pieces.
I appreciate the effort and unique take on this assignment! I can tell that you had a lot of fun making these chess pieces. Great Job!
I’m struck by the way you were able to use acrylic and wood together! They complement each other so much
