For my first cut, I had a pretty difficult time figuring out how to upload a file and connect Retina Engrave to the actual laser cutter. I eventually figured out how to load the file, but when I went to print it, I noticed that a few of the vectors were completely missing. The 4 was supposed to be cut out in the shape of a heart, there are multiple rays coming from the 4 that are missing, and a 2 of the silhouettes are missing substantial portions of the bodies. I also noticed that for the vector etching, there was some burning, so I need to lower my power and/or number of passes on future cuts. This first cut gave me a lot of experience, which will help to make all future cuts hopefully smoother than this first one.
