I wasn’t able to laser cut over the weekend but, my design is done and ready to cut! I have separated my design into three layers and one bounder and background. The materials I plan on using for this model are wood and glass. I plan on using 2 woods with different thickness. One will be used for the exterior(border) of my design and the other will be used for the interior of the designs like the bear and trees. I plan on using acrylic paint to paint each layer a different saturation value of the same color. I haven’t decided on the color yet. The glass will be used for the background, and I plan on sanding the glass and painting it black with acrylic paint. I also plan on splattering stars on the glass. I’ve never done a project like this, so I hope everything runs smoothly!

There is no question to answer, but I have an opinionated question. What made you choose glass for the background if it will be painted over?
Glass could definitely add a cool element to the piece. One thing to note that could come up that I experienced problems with is make sure to do a cut piece on each piece of wood separately, as my thicker piece of wood took significantly longer to cut out.
