My name is Connor Quinn and I use He/Him pronouns. I am from Woodstock, Connecticut which is a rural town in the northeastern corner of Connecticut. The only interesting things to ever happen there are the Woodstock Fair and not much else actually.
The only artistic background I have is from the courses I was required to take as part of my middle school and high school education. That being said, I don’t dislike art by any means, I simply enjoy other things like the sciences and tennis significantly more which prevented me from pursuing any non-required art education.
The only extracurricular art related thing I have been particularly involved with has been CAD for the purposes of 3D printing and a small amount of 3d animation in Blender to make a short video. I initially started 3D printing in order to start a business which I eventually did. I would take orders for custom parts and I would model and print them out. I did that throughout highschool but shut it down for college because I correctly assumed that I would no longer have the time. The last thing I should mention that could have relevance is that I love working on electrical projects, I can find a lot of beauty in a well crafted pcb and I have built my own 3D printer as a personal project even though it might not be the most functional machine.
I also spend a great deal of time playing and learning about a popular video game called Destiny 2 which is produced by Bungie inc. . I thoroughly enjoy the game’s extensive storyline and constantly evolving environment and character arcs. After a while I decided to mix my love for the game with my technical abilities and started importing some of the game models into Blender. The idea was to adjust and refine the model geometry so that I would be able to 3D print characters and vehicles and make parts of the game physical. Alas I have only adjusted a handful of models and have yet to find the motivation to start printing them but this is a long term project that I plan to come back to from time to time. In addition to using the game’s 3D models I frequently travel around to different locations within the game and try to take decent screenshots to capture the peaceful environments that can be found in an otherwise chaotic game.

familiar – lots of familiar compositions with the screenshots
Impressive – Building a 3D printer is very cool to hear!
Inventive – The custom built extruder is very impressive, and inspiring to others trying to do the same!
dark – some of the screenshots have an ominous feel
dark – you captured a mysterious essence in your screen shots
inventive- that is so cool you made your own 3D printer!
