Lantern Project WIP – Ana

on

So for what I have I was inspired by the Pokemon movie “Mewtwo strikes back” when the Pokemon Mewtwo was being created in his tank with the armor attached with wires all around it. I used LEDs to light both the bottom and top of the tank. I also 3D printed the Mewtwo and plan to make it “float” with the wires connected to the top. This is still a work in progress! I was thinking of adding more wires to the back of the creature and more details to the “metal” part of the tank.

Artist question:

I was thinking of adding an acrylic plate to the back of the creature and engrave some bubbles to make it look like its under water. Do you think its a good idea or do you have any other suggestions to make it look like the creature is under water?

I noticed how you use many different materials in your lantern including 3D printed objects and cardboard. I was wondering why you chose this scene for the lantern project. In my opinion, the acrylic with engraved bubbles would look really cool or you could use some kind of liquid inside the case.

I like the idea of wires and more metal to give it more of a futuristic science experiment look

I like the 3D printed figure in the middle. How did you make it with multiple colors? In my opinion, I think it could be interesting to hang small pieces of acrylic from the top to act like bubbles.

This is really cool that you implemented the 3D printing in the early stages of the class. This is a great representation of thinking outside the box.
