This child would grow up to be one heck of a chemical engineer. One that would later discover a new chemical no one would foresee saving the world. That was his destiny, but it would come at a cost, one too big for him to bear. This is the story of Chris Alvarez. Born in Lowell grow up moving around the state of Massachusetts. His family would then settle in a town called Springfield. Known for being the city of homes and more importantly, the birthplace of basketball. When Chris was in the fourth grade, he took a particular liking in coloring images that other people made. He had always had an active imagination and dreamed of making his own drawings. Thus, his love for drawing was born. Chris’s first drawing was a rosary from one of his shirts. It was absolutely horrible but he was happy to have the ability to create something of his own. From then on, he made it a mission to turn his dreams into actual art. Chris practiced every day up until the 5th grade. This is when he started to lose motivation to create things. What made art fun for Chris was the gratification from completing something like drawing a painting and just looking at something he could be proud of. No amount of money or food or gaming console could compare to that feeling. But Chris just lost it. At this point, he’s still looking for that feeling again. That’s what he longs for again. Until then, he’s just trying to get by.

Chris has picked up many different talents along the way, one of them being the ability to play cello, trumpet, electric bass and guitar. He also sings.
