<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\nLayers Project:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I am happy to say the layers project is finished. I ended up using clear Elmer’s glue to piece the project together and finished the accompanying base. As an additional piece, my friend assisted in making an entire coffin to carry the astronaut in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The main portion of the gluing process took about 3 days including sanding and curing. I had found that the glue didn’t stick to alcohol wipes and the wipes would even be used to remove excess glue. This was helpful in the keeping the project, and myself, clean during the process. Air bubbles were an issue in gluing, but they seem to add a very natural fractal look to the piece. The etched lines showed up well in the piece and the model is almost crystal clear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lantern Project:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Lantern Project is completed and it’s rear hinged door has been attached. I do want to go back and carefully glue some of the layers again, however, the piece looks wonderful as it is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/a><\/figure><\/div><\/a><\/figure><\/div><\/a><\/figure><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<\/a><\/figure><\/div>
