About Me<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hi! I’m Tia, a sophomore CS\/IMGD major from Stony Brook, New York. If you’ve ever heard of Stony Brook University, I live right near it. Ever since I was young, I’ve loved art. My mom will tell you I spent hours drawing circles on blank pieces of paper when I was 5. Now, I enjoy many different kinds of art. I’m not that into drawing and painting but it is something I want to get into eventually (when I find the time). As of right now, I mostly crochet and knit. Recently I’ve gotten into trying to make clothes for myself and right now I’m working on a cardigan! It’s one that Harry Styles wore at one of his concerts, and I really like how funky it is. I’ve also crocheted many small toys for myself and friends called amigurumi. I’m a big Star Wars fan, so after the Mandalorian came out I crocheted myself a baby yoda plush. Over the summer, I decided to start an Etsy shop to try and make a little bit of money and I sold hand made earrings. I love wearing unique earrings because I love to show what I like through them. Another activity I’m really into is building legos. I can spend a whole day working on one set, I find them so relaxing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a game design major, I’ve taken a few classes where I’m required to make video games. The few games I’ve made so far have been a combination of digital games and table top games. I’m really proud of how they’ve come out, and I do consider them to be an art medium since they involve making the UI look appealing and drawing unique board games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I’m really excited to be taking this course. I think it’s outside of my comfort zone in terms of the art I like to do, and I would love to expand my horizons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
