Evil LEGOs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For this project I decided to take the annoying tendency LEGOs have of stabbing unsuspecting feet and make it worse. I’m modifying the top nubs on some standard LEGO bricks to have spikes so they look as awful to step on as they feel. To turn it into more of a cohesive art piece (and prevent the possibility of ACTUALLY stepping on one of these), I’m going to print them as part of a platform that will also host a bare foot that seems to have just stepped on some of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I created the platform and LEGOs in Tinkercad, and the foot in ZBrush, and then exported to foot as an OBJ file to bring over to tinkercad and finalize with the rest of it. The platform\/LEGOs will be printed as one piece and the foot will be printed as a separate piece that fits in an indent in the platform. I’m planning to paint the LEGOs and the foot, adding some details like blood on the foot and some spikes. Because I used an accurate LEGO model* and kept half of the cylindrical nub, I’m hoping I’ll potentially be able to connect real LEGOs to the evil LEGOs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
