Holla it’s Leona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m sorry if my Lantern design was uploaded a little late, I have been spending time on my SVG files and looking for the proper “box design”. Since there was no simple box design on MakerCase that I thought would be nice for the project, I was thinking of a lantern whose design is more like a “birdhouse” on a tree branch, and I think the most similar real-life design is the street lantern. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So with a little bit of help from an architect student from the maker space where I do the laser cutting, I was able to make the 3D model in Fusion 360 and convert it into 2D vectors. In order to make it more realistic, I decide to use the flaming LED bulb (I had to bike for 12km to find it, what a day), and since prof. Joshua told us to use “other” materials, I think I would use Japanese clay for the vines surrounding the lantern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So my idea for the lasers are that each of the laser will represent an aspect of the beauty of the forest. I will let you feel that beauty by your self.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The third vector one of my childhood show that makes me feel “interesting” about the forest, can you guess who ?<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

And this is my final SVG files, it look kind messy but I hope everything will attach each other well after the cutting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
