However, I still have my cuts by 2 different types of woods, so at first, I managed to assemble all the pieces together using the different shades between the 2 different material, and it turned out like this:

Although the layers looked perfect together, they still missed something. It needs some magic, oops I mean, colors to be more lively. My plan was to use different wood materials for different shades of colors, but since it was failed, I manage to came up with the choice of using wood dye colors.

For assembling, I used this 502 glue, which is meant to stick metal, but it worked well with wood (and dry pretty fast, smell like metal). The only thing you have to notice when using this glue is that you have to be really careful not to let it stick on your hand, or else you would get some burnt. (Yes, fingers burnt from a normal heat glue, bad experience, so I would recommend wearing gloves).

Believe me again, it’s a dinosaur, I tried my best to draw it

And here is my final product. The wood dye color only has 2 colors so I cannot mix the color I want, and I decide to use the acrylic color as well. My palette is full of browns, from lightest to darkest: cream, almond, taupe, tortilla, beaver (this use the wood dye color), and cocoa brown. I like the brown mix because firstly, it will not lose the natural beauty of wood color or ruin the wood vibe, and secondly, it fits with the character as well (reminds me of dark academia theme).

After coloring, to reserve the wood piece, I use this spray. There are 2 different types: flat and matt. If you want your piece to be polished, shining, you should use matt spray.

15$, not too expensive but you should spray it outdoor, or the smell will be terrible

The piece is 30×40 cm, with 6 layers.
