Adjustments from test cuts and progress post
- decided to paint the middle layer
- added LED stand
- during the critique, it was suggested to try and add lines to enhance the constellations. I tried to laser that layer with the lines on it but I did not like the way it looked because it did not seem like constellations. Perhaps if I had made the piece bigger it would have been more spread out and looked nicer. For this project, I enjoyed the smaller size of 4 by 4.
Hello! I am amazed by how light interacts with your art. I love how it seems like the planets inside the helmet seem to represent thoughts. In my opinion, a border or base that has lights would be super cool.
This piece came out so beautifully, and I love how the changing light also interacts with the planet colors and makes them appear to change color as well.
I noticed that the stars became really prominant with the lights. I’m curious how you painted the layers (like what kind of paint)? In my opinion, I wish the paint was a little more translucent. Great job!
