First cuts

My first wooden cut, they’re not too bad at all.

I had sometrouble for opening the file on Corel at the makerspace, it took me a while but here are my results!

The #1 Drawing is Dreaming, #2 is Fate and #3 is Rainfall in the Mountain King.

I wish I did more laser cuts for the #2.

I notice how you cut the shape of the hair out for your first piece. I appreciate how, by cutting around the head, it creates a nice shape and flow for the piece.

I noticed for the featured image the amount of detail to make each of the lines and how the uncut sections add more lines to the piece.

Hi Leona! I really like your last cut! A lot of laser cutting works have defined white/black spaces and strict lines, but your second and third cuts have a lot of depth and shading- which I think is very impressive that you pulled it off with this medium!

Hey Leona! I noticed how the lines in your cut almost look like buildings/skyscrapers in a city at night and I thought that was pretty cool. Nice job!

Hi Leona! I’m struck by your first design! The way you cut your piece makes me think you could put it in front of a lot of interesting backgrounds. They all came out great though!

I am drawn to the dramatic curvature in the face and hair of the Dreaming piece, to me it seems to resemble a top or a chess piece.
