I am taking inspiration from Jen Stark and Duffy London in my peace. I love the idea of using themes of water and transparency in my work in the way that Duffy London does. I want to incorporate the depth and color that Duffy London uses in their tables. I also love the work of Jen Stark and how she uses separated layers to suggest a shape. She uses isolated flat sheets and arranges them in a way that give mostly empty space a sense of volume. I would like to incorporate the theme of water and transparency from Duffy London and the separated layers idea from Jen Stark.
What are your plans for materials and or colors?
I’m debating between spending money and making it out of transparent blue acrylic or using plywood and painting the burnt edge blue.
What made you decide to do this moment of a water drop?
I think there is a beauty to this moment. It is a moment that is so common yet we very rarely get to see because it is so fleeting. I love how the downward force of a water drop can cause such a tall spike of water.
