My first two laser cuts are below, one in vector and one in raster! I freehanded both of these with the pen tool.
Next is my layers project, I looked up pictures of dolphins as a reference to draw and painted each layer with watered down acrylic to let the wood pattern show through!

For my lantern project I made a 5″ cube with two laser cut layers on each side and a spray painted acrylic pane behind them. I was inspired by cool rowing pictures I had and wanted the colored light to be shown in the sky and reflected in the water. The hard part was definitely figuring out where to put the reflections! Inside I have LEDs wrapped around the bottom half of a plastic water bottle because it was too small for a lightbulb!
Finally for my altered toys project I decided to take this green turtle sandbox I had as a kid and made it into a planter for a succulent or something, kind of an upgrade from sand :). I just got added to the basic user group yesterday though and it won’t get printed in time before I leave so I’ll probably ask my friend at home to do it. The plan is to add eyes and a mouth with paint/paint pen and some turtle shell lines.

Your work shows a really good understanding of layers and shilouettes! I’m really excited to see how your 3D project will turn out!
I love how your pieces have a nature theme to them. Nice job!!
I love each of your final products! My favorite of your pieces is the dolphins, and I love how you made it look so natural and you kept the wood grain visible.
