For my first drawing I wanted to draw something that has meaning and could go on my desk so that I could see it everyday. I decided to bring back the cactus from one of my paintings in my first post. It wasn’t until recently that the cactus got more meaning to me than just a really fun cool looking plant. The painting I made was one I did with my best friend, we both drew half of the same cactus on our canvas and then painted it all in our own style. They came out really cute and totally give off the same vibes are best friend charms but are now extra special as she will be moving away before I’ll be home for summer.

For this drawing I had to put the cactus in a pot, that way it would make sense sitting on my desk. Then I assigned red to show that the whole plant would be cut out as its own shape and then I used the vector lines to add the ridges of the cactus and the pot’s rim.
