For the layers project, i decided to take a really abstract take on the project. I began by searching for a clear material that I could cut or engrave with color. Then I created an abstract drawing on several different layers which i would like to physically print out each layer and glue them together in order to create a sort of clear object with lines an abstract design in the middle. In the end hopefully the object will be viewable from many angles and be interesting to look at..
Hi Helena! I noticed you’re more abstract take on the project! How do you plan to use cuts/engraving to create more of an abstract feeling? In my opinion, I can see the piece almost embodying chaos, or harmony, depending how you move forward. I might suggest using diluted acrylic paints to create depth as well.
