I ended up printing Minnie mouse and I am so happy with how she came out! She is about 5 inches tall and is the perfect trinket on my desk. I used acrylic paint for the final details.

Altered Toys Project – Amanda Smith
My first print came out super well, but the “Menu” lettering was too small to really make out. I also broke off one of the trunk window bars trying to remove the supports from the inside of the trunk. The little man came out perfectly, I just removed the supports and filed him down a…
Altered Toy Project
For my altered toy, I decided to alter a bouncy ball. I chose a bouncy ball because I have a lot of vivid memories playing with them as a child and I even was nearly blinded by one once (whoops)… I think its pretty interesting how it turned out. when I showed it to my…
Sydney – Altered Toys Project
Here is my final Altered Toys Project! I had so much fun learning to use the 3D printer, and I can’t wait to model stuff over the summer and print them next year! In the end, I made the Rubik’s cube planter with drainage holes, and a base to go underneath and catch the drained…

Hello! I was able to reprint my puzzle pieces, and now they fit!

Evil LEGOs 2: Electric Boogaloo 5/5/2021: Printed base: There was a little bit of spaghetti under the overhanging LEGO, but overall turned out good. Real LEGOs do fit on but are a little loose, I think either because the radius of the nubs is a little too small, or I didn’t give them enough normal…
Altered Toys Project
After some challenges with using the full version of ZBrush from the mini version, I have finalized my design! I am creating a spin on my childhood favorite Littlest Pet Shop. I think I am calling my version “Little Scaries”. I plan on adding strange and unusual painting to the finished product. If I have…
Altered Toys Updates
So the game board has been a bit frustrating to work with but the 3D printed pieces came out better than I thought in the test run! The time lapse below unfortunately did not result in a useable piece as one side of the board had holes that did not cut through. I had planned…
Iris: Altered Toy Project
Here is my first 3D print of “Plumpkin the Pumpkin.” As you can see, the trees under the right arm did not work (or print at all apparently), so I will need to redesign and reprint. I wanted the print to be orange but there was no orange in an Ultimaker 3 printer so I…
Altered Toys Project – Jakob Sperry
For this project i decided to pivot from my orognal idea because I felt like it did not express my childhood in the way that I want to. Instead i started to think about the diffrent toys that i playes with as I aged and i realized that i pretty quickly pivioted from toys into…
Altered Toy Project | Kat Valery
So far with my project, I’m still working on the 3D modeling portion of the project. However, using original 3D model from the Layers Project, I sent out a test print last night that is in the 3D printer queue I rotated it on a 90 degree angle to lie on it’s back and provided…
Alexander Breiling Altered Toys Project
Still waiting on the print queue, here’s the model I’ll be printing.
Altered Toy Project – Emily
I decided to go with the “Easy” Bake Oven idea for the altered toy project. I put the design I had into the printing queue just to see how some of the things looked but I will be adding some of the suggestions that were made on the design post about adding more things to…
Grace-Altered Toys Finished
Here is my design all printed. I decided to take the feedback to swap and have the book be the screen instead of the keyboard and I really like how it turned out.
