Layers Project – Amanda Smith

on

I decided to stick with the colorful design, but I rearranged the layers so that it more resembled a thermal image spectrum and took out a layer to simplify it just a bit. The paper is a bit thin, and so there was some wrinkling when putting them together. An Elmer’s glue stick was all I used to adhere the layers to each other. I set a heavy textbook on top of them for a day because there was also some curling, but after that the piece was perfectly flattened out.

Hi Amanda! I notices the use of the colors! Are the pieces popping out or sunken in?

The red is the bottom layer, with the orange on top, then yellow, green, blue, purple, and the black is on the top.

I notice that you put the red inside, like a thermal image. This looks sick! I wonder how you plan to display the piece?
