Altered Toy
This piece was created to be a delivery truck for medication. Taking your meds can often seem mundane, but this toy was designed to make it a bit more enjoyable, an experience instead of just a task. The small man pictured is the driver, and the truck has a fully functioning trunk and wheels.
Lantern
All panel designs were inspired by Tangled, a movie which has a strong plot point revolving around lanterns. By removing the bottom panel, a circular notch at the bottom of the tower panel allows for a corded lighting device to be put inside, shown here with fairy lights.
Layers
This piece portrays the x-ray of a hand making the “I love you” sign in ASL. The colored layers, starting with the bottom-most being red, increase in rainbow order to make it appear as though it is in thermal imaging.

Your lantern piece is very beautiful. I love how you designed the sun at the top!
I love each of your projects Mandy! As I watched you come up and test each of these I was so excited to see the final products! My favorite is probably the lantern! I love the colors you chose and I think it’s really impressive how you were able to attach two different colored papers in the inside to make the flower and background two different colors!
