Alexander Breiling, An Introduction

Hello, I’m Alexander Breiling and I’m from Portland, Oregon.

I enjoy art of many kinds and have been dabbling in a number of mediums ranging from playing alto saxophone, to photography. At the moment I am independently learning how to breakdance.

In terms of formal art instruction I took a 2D animation course in 2019 and sculpture in high school. Outside of that I have done sketching, some digital art, laser cut art, and photography, along with the previously mentioned breakdancing and saxophone performances. I’m not particularly skilled as an artist but I am looking to improve my skills.

Shiny: you did a very good job getting the light to scatter in the acrylic, The use of light and translucency is very cool.

Hi! I am going to give you the ‘dark’ badge for your pieces with the colorful lights because you played with how we use light and dark in a cool and interesting way so that the piece is better viewed in a dark backdrop than a light one

Hi! I think the colorful and detailed badges because of the characters presented in the light art as well as cut into wood.

Funny! From the picture of you and the statue (which took me readinG another comment to realise that is not your hat!) to the blank face of the little fish friend I really enjoyed your works. Also all your woodburnings are super impressive!
