For my layer design I took inspiration from Gabriel Schama and Jen Stark’s work. In the below pieces, both artists have a large silhouette cut as the top layer and then the layers get smaller and smaller going into the material. In my piece I also started with a main silhouette design and worked out smaller and smaller layers to give the piece depth. I plan to use the birch plywood from the maker space as my material.
